Dinner Club memories.
A taste of Malaysia - August 16, 2014


Yolanda played host to the August Dinner Club on a stifling Edmonton evening.  The only thing more steamy than the weather was the wonderful sampling of Malaysian currys, noodles and salads. Special visitors included Yolanda's mom Betty, her sister Heather and sister's boyfriend John.  The Malaysian menu featured laksa soup, vegetable curry, mee-goreng, papaya salad, spago pudding, layered butter cake and pineapple tarts for dessert.

Food from our Childhood - October 19, 2014


Salima was the host for our October dinner club. The theme, food from our childhood, provided quite the medley of delicious eats and childhood favourites. Each of us chose something that brought some memory or comfort from our childhood. The menu featured Ukranian borscht, Mennonite perogies, Chinese potstickers and an array of East African delights.

Coffee - January 31, 2015


Kristy kicked off 2015 by hosting the first Dinner Club get together of the year. The theme of coffee was the perfect recipe for a cold January evening. Coffee is so much more than a beverage and this evening proved it. The menu included a coffee balsamic salad with goat cheese and pomegranate seeds, barbecue tofu hocakes, tamarind and coffee fried tofu, and for dessert the most amazing chocolate cake with salted caramel filling.
